Our Board.
The Zinovae Foundation is guided by a Board of esteemed individuals dedicated to upholding the highest standards of leadership, integrity, and commitment. As stewards of this mission, our Board members provide the stability and strategic vision necessary to ensure the foundation's continued growth and impact.
Every decision is made with a sound mind, always prioritizing the well-being and future of the players we serve. Our collective focus remains on breaking financial barriers and making soccer accessible to underprivileged youth, ensuring they have the resources needed to excel both on and off the field.
Through thoughtful governance, we strive to foster an environment where young athletes can thrive, empowered by opportunities that support their development, health, and long-term success.
Why the Zinovae Foundation?
Ziggy Odogun
Ziggy, the visionary founder of Zinovae and The Zinovae Foundation, is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of breaking systemic barriers. From experiencing poverty, foster care, and homelessness as a child to forging a path as a grassroots footballer, professional player, and now a professional coach, she has defied the odds at every turn. Ziggy doesn’t just dream big—she turns those dreams into action, striving to create opportunities for children from all backgrounds, regardless of financial status, race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. Committed to fostering equity and equality, she is a firm believer in lifting others up, just as mentors once did for her.
Words from Ziggy:
"What's scary to ponder is that if I were a child who was born and raised in America where sports is "for profit", I never would have had all of the opportunities that I needed to ensure success. These opportunities that were vital for my survival were provided to me by iconic mentors and coaches who saw my untapped potential. Marginalized and minority communities here in America deserve the right to have a level playing field. We ALL need to do BETTER!"
Through Zinovae, she is turning that belief into a movement—one that ensures every child has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.
Jordan Bingham
Jordan Bingham is an athlete, parent, and advocate for health and well-being for all. She has a background in public health and is a co-founder of the nINA Collective, a Madison-based co-op working to advance racial justice and belonging.
One of Nina’s central beliefs is “another way is possible.” This belief, combined with Jordan’s core values of justice and courage, led her to join the Zinovae board. Jordan has experienced the life-changing nature of sport and has seen how barriers of cost and unwritten rules can keep kids from experiencing all the benefits sports can offer. Jordan is eager to support the Zinovae board in its pursuit of opening doors to kids who may otherwise be denied the chance to play and reach their full potential.
Lane Hanson
Lane Hanson is a long time Madison resident who is passionate about addressing the systemic racism and economic disparities that are pervasive in our community. She currently serves as the Director of Finance and Development for the Gay/Straight Alliance for Safe Schools (GSAFE).
In this role she is responsible for securing financing for grassroots organizing efforts that will ultimately make life better for queer and trans identified youth across Wisconsin. Lane is excited to be involved in the innovative work of the Zinovae foundation! The vision of the Zinovae foundation will ultimately increase access to resources and health equity for low income communities. The impact of this opportunity will not only improve life and outcomes for the young people involved, but will also build resilience within families and the larger Madison community.
